Community Groups: Connect to Others and God

We have a host of different groups that meet on different days and times of the week; most include a meal together, one with breakfast and childcare on Sunday mornings before church. We share life together and grow together in our relationship with God. To find out which group might be best for you check out our current list of groups or reach out to Nici Smith at (617) 921-3718 / nsmith [at]

NCC Women’s Retreats: Sharing The Wisdom

Need some refreshment for the soul? Half-day and day retreats are held at NCC. We also host an annual Christmas Tea. An eloquent, inspiring speaker addresses a faith topic, and we reflect on how to apply what we’ve learned to our daily lives. Lunch provides a lovely time for good conversations with old and new friends.

Men’s ministry at NCC exists to challenge men to become committed followers of Jesus Christ. We are called by God to journey together as brothers, studying God’s word and trying honor God and live up to His standards of excellence. We are about building men up and providing a safe place for them to struggle honestly and grow in their commitment to Jesus. The goal is to become better men, husbands, sons, brothers, friends, and fathers because of the time we invest together in knowing and growing as men of God.

These are our core values:

  • To follow Jesus first.

  • To be committed to leadership with integrity in our families, church, work places and communities.

  • To be teachable and hungry for God’s word

  • To live out the Christian faith with a strong and joyful witness to the world around us

Men, come on Friday mornings 6:30-7:30am for a time of fellowship and breakfast at Panera on Centre Street in Newton.

It’s a time to connect with other men and find ways to encourage each other in our walk with Jesus. All are invited! For more information, contact Daniel Adams at dadams [at]

Young Adults

Our hope is that young adults connect to one another and the rest of the church by building relationships. One way we do this is by organizing a monthly lunch to hang out and get to know each other better. It takes place every 4th Sunday of the month after church. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the Young Adult Team at yat [at]

Our desire is for middle school and high school students to know Jesus and let Him change their lives. One way students can enter into this transformational process together is at youth group where we practice spiritual disciplines such as prayer and worship, learn about God through lessons, hang out eating snacks, and have fun playing games.

Middle School and High School meet on Sunday nights from 6:00-8:00.

You can check out upcoming events on our calendar here: NCC Youth Calendar

Email the office if you have any questions!

We strive to provide a place where families can grow together in their love and knowledge of God. Our children are the youngest members of our church family, and we desire to support the parents and adults in our church as we disciple the younger generations, and join with them in worship and learning, connecting to God, God’s people, and God’s work in the world.

We provide a special time of prayer and teaching for children during our worship service, and children are then invited to enjoy safe and engaging lessons and activities in our Covenant Kids program. We also desire to support our families by providing discipleship materials, parenting seminars, and fellowship opportunities as we grow together.

Nursery care is provided for our littlest family members, ages 0-2, from the start of the worship service.

For more information, please contact Kelly Ladd Bishop at kladdbishop [at]

We are committed to pursuing compassion and justice through our world. From our inception the Covenant has been concerned with helping hurting people (love mercy), and addressing the causes of that hurt (do justice). From a biblically rooted perspective, we provide tangible ways of extending the love of Jesus in deed as well as work, and speak as an advocate. [ECC]
