September is the time for apple picking, mums, and pumpkin flavored everything. It’s also the time to join a community group at NCC. We have a host of different groups forming this Fall on different days and times of the week; most include a meal together, one with breakfast and childcare on Sunday mornings before church. To find out which group might be best for you reach out via text to Nici at 617 921 3718 or email her at nsmith [at] newtoncovenant.org.
Community groups are made up of ten to twelve people who meet weekly to study, share, and support one another in our Christian lives. The purpose of community groups is to connect people to Jesus Christ and to one another. We promote transformation through living the Truth of Jesus Christ in our relationships, study of God’s Word together, prayer, and outreach. To that end, community groups help us…
- know God in a more personal way
- understand what the Bible teaches us about community
- belong to a group with others who will support us in our spiritual growth
- care for one another and reach out to others
- have fun
